Woman alleges she was sexually assaulted by intruder
Police in Belize City are looking for a man who is alleged to have entered a woman’s house and sexually assaulted her as she slept.
The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon and because of the nature of the alleged offense the woman’s name cannot be released.
The woman told police that sometime after 2 pm she was asleep in her house when she was awakened by a man she says she knows only by face.
The woman says that the man was on top of her, sexually assaulting her.
The woman says that in fright, she pushed the man off of her and that he walked out of her house.
The man who allegedly assaulted the woman is described as being of brown complexion, medium build and stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall.
Police are now looking for this man whom they believe will be able to assist them in their investigation of the incident.
