Woman hurt in traffic accident near the prison

At least one person was injured in a traffic incident this afternoon near the Belize Central Prison compound in Hattieville village, Belize district this afternoon.
The injured woman, believed to be a tourist was in an Izuzu vehicle along with three other persons when the vehicle was clipped by another vehicle that was overtaking a third vehicle that was making a turn into the prison compound.
The injuries to the woman does not appear to be life-threatening.
A first-responder team from the prison provided treatment to the injured woman at the scene
