Youth leadership training underway in Stann Creek district
Over one hundred youth leaders from Belize, Central America and the Caribbean are meeting in Belize for the next few days.
A statement from the Department of Youth Services explains that the ten day camp is being conducted under the theme “leadership in Action and has the participation of 150 youth leaders.
Participants are from Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, Bahamas, and St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The purpose of the camp, according to the official release, “is to enhance the leadership capacity of the youth leaders in attendance while promoting the National Youth Development Policy of Belize 2012 – 2022 and the National Youth Council process.”
