Youth stabbed and killed in San Ignacio town

Monday, November 2, 2015. San Ignacio, CAYO. A man was stabbed and killed early on Sunday morning in San Ignacio town.

The victim has been identified as twenty year old Iter Eliel Espino, a resident of Buena Vista village.

Police say that they responded to reports of a fight in the vicinity of a nightclub on Hudson street and upon their arrival, found Espino’s body with two stab wounds to the chest and upper arm.

Police say their investigation has so far revealed that Espino and a friend were socializing at the Blue Angels Night Club and that they got into a misunderstanding with some other patrons of the establishment.

During the fight, Espino was fatally wounded.

Investigations continue.
